Client Profile

This automotive repair equipment provider sells and services a variety of products, including automotive in-ground and above-ground lifts, mobile column lifts, fluid pumps, air compressors, refrigerated dryers, wheel service and alignment, and small hydraulic equipment for the service of vehicles. After completing their initial expansion project in Indiana, they approached our team a second time with plans to expand in Missouri.

Process

The client asked us to secure incentives for their $780,000 expansion project that is expected to create 12 jobs in Missouri. Our Location Advisory team submitted an application on their behalf for the Missouri Works Program, which helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for facility expansions and job creation. When speaking with community stakeholders, we leveraged the company’s rural county location, which was more incentivized than an urban location. The process of negotiating and procuring the tax credit took about two months, resulting in being awarded a Missouri Works Program tax credit valued at $120,000 with the ability to increase this amount if the company exceeded its hiring goals.
