Helix Biostructures aids companies with pharmaceutical development. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Helix Biostructures was founded in 2017 and plans to grow substantially in the coming years.

With only two full-time employees, Helix Biostructures aimed to grow that number to 22 by 2024. They considered two separate locations for growth: Indianapolis and Chicago. Selecting a location to do business can involve consideration of several factors. Helix Biostructures was sure to include potential credits and incentives in particular locations as part of their strategic planning process. The company looked to McGuire Sponsel for assistance with site selection and incentives procurement. McGuire Sponsel negotiated and procured economic incentives on their behalf, choosing Indianapolis as the project location. McGuire Sponsel worked with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) to procure incentives. The company, with the guidance and collaboration of McGuire Sponsel’s Credits and Incentives team, requested and received an Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) Tax Credit in the state of Indiana.
