Client Profile
Automated Doors and Access, Inc (ADA USA) is a contract servicer and installer of door and security access systems for many industries, including healthcare, headquarters, non-profits, and office users. ADA USA installs, repairs, and replaces automatic doors, manual doors, revolving doors, and security access systems including magnetic locks, card readers and keypads, and electric panic/exit devices.

The Challenge
The company originally started as a division of Architectural Glass and Metal (AGM) but separated into its own entity in the mid-2000s. As ADA has continued to grow its client base, it has out grown its current location and looks to build a new facility in Indianapolis or expand its offices in Ohio or Tennessee. In addition to the need for an expanded facility, ADA needed to grow its employee head count to meet the demands of current and new clients. Finally, ADA also plans to train new and existing employees in the most up to date industry standards through a new training center to be placed in a new building.

Study Results
ADA USA hired McGuire Sponsel to negotiate and procure economic incentives on their behalf in support of the company’s considered expansion. McGuire Sponsel negotiated and worked with Develop Indy and the City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) to procure tax incentives to assist with the establishment of a new, expanded operation on Indianapolis’ near east side. The company, with the guidance and collaboration of McGuire Sponsel’s Credits and Incentives team, requested and received a real property tax abatement for the planned new facility and training center. These incentives will assist with the establishment of a new facility and help the company grow by an additional 15 employees.
