Founded in 2007, McGuire Sponsel is a national location advisory firm focused on providing a trusted partnership and technical location advisory expertise to local, regional, and national clients and partner firms. With employees spread across offices in Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis, and Phoenix, we are committed to the real estate industry and are dedicated to providing dynamic and responsive service to our relationship network across the country.

Office Furniture Manufacturer

Case Study

This office furniture manufacturer has a 118-year history in Southern Indiana, rooted in its competitive prices, relevant products, long-standing craftsmanship, and world-class service. After completing their initial hiring goal, the client approached McGuire Sponsel with plans for an additional headcount. Our Location Advisory team negotiated an EDGE tax credit with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) by leveraging the addition of new jobs and the manufacturer’s previous success. Despite their job growth, it was unclear if Indiana would support the project because of wage requirements. However, we demonstrated that the wages were competitive, and the IEDC ultimately awarded the credit to the company, resulting in Phase 1 & 2 EDGE Tax Credits totaling $495,000

Peterman Brothers

Case Study

With locations across Indiana, Peterman Brothers has become one of the state’s most prominent residential plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical services providers. Peterman Brothers approached McGuire Sponsel to procure incentives on their behalf for their hiring goal of 450 new employees. To accomplish this task, our Location Advisory team negotiated a deal with state and local officials that involved the EDGE tax credit, which is tied to job creation and typically realized over a 10-year period. Based on the company’s projections of 450 new jobs, we were able to leverage the company’s projected headcount growth and procure a $5.5 million EDGE tax credit for Peterman Brothers.

Huston Electric

Case Study

With multiple locations in Indiana, Huston Electric, a full-service electric contractor, focuses on providing high-quality workmanship through electrical contracting and service work. Huston Electric approached us to procure incentives on their behalf for an expansion project. Our Location Advisory team negotiated a deal with state and local officials that involved a 10-year abatement for the project. Despite their growth, it was initially unclear if state and local governments would support this project due to the specific industry. However, with Huston Electric’s positive reputation, we were able to procure a local tax abatement of $194,361 and a local training grant of $11,250.
