Special Alert: IRS to Hold Feb. 9 Webinar on Schedules K2/K3; Focus on Foreign Tax Credit/Individuals
Recently we posted a Global Business Services blog communicating that the IRS finalized instructions for Schedule K2 and K3. These instructions, in addition to the IRS frequently asked questions, provide answers to most questions.
We wanted to communicate that the IRS will conduct a webinar on February 9 titled “K2/K3 With a Focus on the Foreign Tax Credit – Individuals.”
As described by the agency, the 120-minute event will:
- Provide an overview of the new Schedules K2/K3, with an explanation of their purpose and history;
- Offer a discussion about the various parts of the K2/K3 with special emphasis on Part I, Part II and Part III; and
- Explain the exception to filing the Schedules K2 and K3.
There will also be a live question-and-answer period.
“All participants who qualify will receive a Certificate of Completion. Tax Professionals can earn up to 2 CPE Credits, Category: Federal Tax,” the IRS said.
