Johnny is a manager of McGuire Sponsel’s Cost Segregation practice, where he supports clients and CPAs across hospitality, manufacturing, and residential and commercial real estate. In his role, Johnny manages day-to-day client communication, provides technical guidance on fixed asset regulations, finalizes project reports, and assists with training and development while helping oversee the Atlanta Cost Segregation team.
Johnny thrives in the fast-paced, technical nature of cost segregation and is especially driven by mentoring new team members, both in the field and in the office. He began his career in electrical construction specializing in transmission substations and towers and has also worked as an auto technician and retail manager—experience that strengthens his practical, solutions-focused approach.
Based in Canton, Georgia, Johnny lives with his wife, Leslie, their five children, and their dog. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, annual beach trips, and volunteering as a security lead at his church.
