BIO
Ashu Mahal is a Senior Manager in McGuire Sponsel’s Global Business Services practice, specializing in international tax, cross-border transactions, and global compliance and reporting. She advises multinational businesses on complex international tax matters, including global structuring, M&A, foreign tax credit planning, and ASC 740 reporting.
Before joining McGuire Sponsel, Ashu spent over a decade in the International Tax and Transaction Services practice at a Big Four accounting firm, serving clients across industries such as technology, automotive, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals. She led international tax audits, managed cross-border tax planning projects, and supported strategic global tax planning initiatives.
Ashu is a licensed CPA in Michigan and holds a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School, along with bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Economics from the University of Michigan–Dearborn.
Outside of work, Ashu lives in Northville, Michigan, where she enjoys spending time with her two sons, Agam and Sahib. She especially looks forward to summer days spent outdoors or swimming together. In her free time, she enjoys reading and knitting to recharge.
