INDIANAPOLIS – McGuire Sponsel, a specialty tax and consulting firm with clients throughout the United States, has hired Jacob Everett—an experienced leader in economic development—as a Business Development Manager in its Credits & Incentives Practice. In this role, Everett will guide businesses on site selection, credits and incentives procurement, and growth and expansion efforts.
“I look forward to advising growing companies looking to expand or relocate both in and outside of Indiana, real estate developers planning new projects, and municipalities seeking to attract or retain businesses in their communities,” Everett said.
“Jacob’s extensive experience includes a successful track record of working with growing companies and continuous collaboration with the public sector,” said Doug Dalton, a principal with McGuire Sponsel’s Credits & Incentives Practice. “We look forward to bringing his depth of knowledge to McGuire Sponsel’s clients and partners.”
Prior to joining McGuire Sponsel, Everett was executive director of Indy Partnership, the regional economic development business unit of the Indy Chamber, where he focused on business attraction for the Indianapolis region.
A Certified Economic Developer, Everett currently serves as a member of the Indiana Economic Development Association Legislative Committee and a board member of the Town of Cicero Economic Development Committee.
Everett’s experience also includes serving as the executive director of Blackford County Economic Development Corporation, director of planning and research for the Eastern Indiana Workforce Investment Board, and working for two Fortune 500 companies. Everett is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and holds a cum laude business degree from Ball State University.
