Update on the Intersection of 1031 and Cost Segregation
On November 23, the IRS issued final regulations regarding 1031 exchanges. These regulations make slight edits to the previously proposed regulations, including eliminating the “purpose or use” test and allowing for some state or local law conformity. This webinar will discuss these new regulations, the changes, and how cost segregation studies work within the confines of the new guidance.
Attendees will be provided:
-An update to how 1031 exchanges have changed under the TCJA
-An update to the 1031 regulations, including the changes to purpose or use effect taxpayers
-An understanding of how the regulations work with cost segregation
