McGuire Sponsel Expands Nonprofit Advisory Practice

Doug Dalton
Director of the Nonprofit
Advisory Practice

McGuire Sponsel would like to announce the  expansion of our Nonprofit Advisory Practice, which focuses on  providing view-neutral financing and derivative solutions for nonprofit organizations. "The continued development of this practice was prompted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) adopting its final rule in 2014 on the permanent registration of municipal advisors  and the growing need for independent advisory services related to specific debt and derivative solutions for our growing nonprofit industry," states Doug Dalton, Director of the Nonprofit Practice.

Should You Be Implementing the Repair Regulations?

Dave McGuire
Director of the
Cost Segregation Practice

Now that the rush of tax season has passed, it gives us time to review some areas of the repair regulations in greater depth. Due to the complexity of these regulations, there have been differing interpretations as to how to implement the new rules. Some of this was cleared up by Revenue Procedure 2015-20. However, in some ways, this regulation muddied the water and created a false sense of confidence lulling taxpayers and preparers into complacency.
