Douglass Dalton

Doug Dalton is a Principal of the Financing and Economic Incentives Practice and the Director of the Nonprofit Advisory Practice at McGuire Sponsel, LLC, a national consulting firm that is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) as an Independent Registered Municipal Advisor (IRMA).

Doug’s role includes assisting corporate, governmental and nonprofit clients in developing financing and hedging strategies for new debt projects and refinancing of existing debt.

Before joining McGuire Sponsel, LLC, Doug was the owner of a Municipal Financial Advisory firm for four years and served for 11 years as Vice President in the Capital Markets Group for Fifth Third Securities, Inc. While at Fifth Third Securities, Inc., Doug focused on taxable and tax exempt financing for corporate, nonprofit and municipal clients. During Doug’s career, he has worked on over 400 deals. Doug is an accomplished speaker and contributor of articles to financial, accounting and business publications and to economic summits on debt financing. McGuire Sponsel is an independent municipal financial & swap advisory group headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, with offices in Idaho, Virginia and Ohio. McGuire Sponsel works on behalf of its clients as independent, conflict free advisors.

Dalton received his B.S from the University of Cincinnati in Finance / Real Estate. He currently resides in the Cincinnati area.
